Commentary: This was my first introduction to Flying Lotus and his genius as a producer. I didn't like Gucci Mane at the time or the kind of percussive drum kits like we hear here. But something about this song I have loved. It gets stuck in my head and springs to mind regularly, and it's been so long that he's singing about a "camera phone"! I also have to hype the Adult Swim Singles music operation. They've been curating excellent music selections for YEARS. Go ahead, check out some of their releases. I can't tell if they've ceased since 2021, but there's still good stuff there. I hope they keep going because they tend to be ahead of the game.

Commentary: A really nice collection of folk & guitar music out of Botswana. Well-produced by, I guess, the Piranha label out of Berlin. You should probably watch some videos of the cool way people are playing overhand guitar in Botswana -- some examples in this NPR article.

Commentary: I guess I've posted something by Shawn Kemp (another alter ego of Travis Miller), but I could've sworn I'd already posted Leonard's Lake. I like Lil Ugly Mane's early stuff, I think he's loosely associated with the Raider Klan and Denzel Curry. He got more experimental, which was great, and lately Volcanic Bird Enemy was more poppy (and not hip hop?!) yet good. Also, lol, I thought the 2nd was called "Infinite Rain" -- it's a segment, and highlight, of the long mix, Third Side of Tape.

Commentary: Fellow Kentuckian, Nathan Salsburg, does some nice guitar work. With Landwerk, he uses crackling old 78 recordings and loops to build a series of haunting and repetive melodies. Recommend.
